This is a subset of the pictures in the travel page.

Upon returning from the Antarctic peninsula, Sharon joined us in Punta Arenas and we enjoyed 3 weeks of fabulous hiking in Chile and Argentina, visiting the Parque Nacinal de los Glaciares, the Torres del Paine park, the Perito Moreno glacier, and others. We also learnt first hand why that part of the Andes is called La Cordillera del Viento [the range of the wind]. The parks in Patagonia have trails configured in such a way that you can hike for days without the need to carry camping equipment since you can stay overnight in the refugios or huts where they will even provide you with a warm dinner and breakfast. Excellent setup. This is probably the best hiking trip I've ever had. Despite the fact that New Zealand was near perfect, this has an edge over it because of the landscape. I have never seen anything like it elsewhere.

It was so windy that at times we had to duck down to keep the wind from knocking us over.
